Baby friendly holiday features
So what are we looking for in a baby friendly holiday? Well we think there are a few holiday features which are bound to make your holiday perfectly suited to babies and young toddlers. Firstly we’d expect the holiday to offer all the necessary baby and toddler equipment you might need – high chairs, cots, stair gates, baby monitors and so on – which makes your life easier when packing the car and means you’ve got more space for clothes, toys and everything else! We’d expect the holiday venue to be nice and safe for small babies – so no sharp edges or steep staircases – and equally there should be lots of safe outdoor space for babies to crawl around and explore. Babies need a change of scenery just like any other children, so it’s helpful to have a range of baby friendly activities on site: swimming pools, indoor play areas (ideally with a soft play area) or a sand pit, for example. Animal feeding is also a fun exercise for children of all ages. And being Parent Friendly Stays, we’re convinced that any baby friendly holiday should be equally friendly for mums and dads too – so hopefully there will be a creche or kids club, or babysitting, so the parents can enjoy a bit of downtime once the little ones are asleep!
