Wheal Dream is located in Helston, south Cornwall. Plenty of family friendly days out like Flambards and Poldark Mine are within an easy drive, as are the numerous seaside villages and beaches of the south Cornwall coast; Porthleven, for example, which is just a few minutes away and offers a three mile stretch of golden sand to explore.

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
There are seven lodges in total at Wheal Dream, offering stylish, comfortable, well-equipped accommodation. Some properties have private enclosed gardens, and all have outdoor seating areas.
Property sizes vary, though the majority of the lodges sleep four in two bedrooms. The largest lodge, Wheal Jane, however, sleeps up to eight people in four bedrooms so offers the most spacious accommodation for larger family groups or perhaps two families sharing.
Some of the lodges offer their very own private log-fired hot tub for the ultimate in indulgent relaxation.
For an idea of prices, a family of four staying in a two-bed lodge can expect to pay around £1170/week during the summer holiday peak. Short breaks are also available, and prices can be much lower at quieter times of year.
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
The lodges are surrounded by plenty of safe open space, and therefore offer a great base for families with children to play, enjoy the great outdoors and maybe make friends with the occupants of the other lodges.
With several beautiful sandy beaches in easy reach, children of all ages will be able to enjoy all the fun of the seaside during their stay.
There’s also an outdoor play area at the on-site restaurant for further fun for little ones.
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
The Wheal Dream lodges provide the perfect spot to relax at the end of a busy day sightseeing. Especially if you’ve chosen one of the lodges with its very own private hot tub – what a great place for mums and dads to unwind with a drink in hand and watch the sun go down and the stars come out (though in our experience, the kids love the hot tub too and may need some persuading to give you the room!).
Golf fans will enjoy a complimentary round on the on-site 9 hole par 3 golf course, as well as the opportunity to give foot golf a try.
The on-site restaurant and bar means dinner times are a doddle if you don’t fancy cooking, and 10% is offered to all accommodation guests.
Travel cots and high chairs are available to borrow but remember to request this before you arrive.
Family pets are permitted in some of the lodges.

A holiday at Wheal Dream is all about enjoying the great outdoors together as a family; yet with all the benefits of modern and comfortable self-catering lodge accommodation, luxurious touches like a log-fired hot tub, and excellent on-site extras like the restaurant and golf course. And, of course, with Cornwall’s beaches and family friendly attractions within easy reach. Well worth a look, we think!
