The Victorian Barn complex is situated in an attractive rural location nestled under Bulbarrow Hill in the valley of the Backmore Vale, Dorset. A few miles from the market town of Blandford Forum, this holiday is well situated for many popular Dorset destinations including Milton Abbas, the Cerne Abbas Giant and Sturminster Newton. There are many walking and cycling routes running directly from the complex; while the Jurassic Coast, including famous spots like Lulworth Cove and Ringstead Bay, is also accessible by car.

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
There are a wide variety of properties available at the Victorian Barn to suit all family sizes and requirements. They range from smaller cottages, sleeping four, through to larger properties like Leopold or Helena (sleeping eight), Beatrice (sleeping ten) and Victoria Albert (sleeping 14-16).
Originally farm buildings which have been tastefully converted, the cottages and apartments have exposed timbers and brickwork and a wealth of character features, with all modern conveniences provided. Many of the properties have their own private hot tub, and all have access to outdoor patios with picnic tables.
For an idea of prices, a week-long stay for a family of four during the summer holiday peak can be yours for approximately £1100 in one of the smaller apartment properties, while a cottage sleeping four costs slightly more at around £1270/week. A large family group of ten, staying in Beatrice Cottage, can expect to pay around £3350/week. An off-season stay for a family of four, for example in October, can be yours for around £720/week.
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
There are lots of child friendly activities sure to occupy kids of all ages. Top of our list is a lovely indoor heated swimming pool, set in a picturesque pine log cabin, which guarantees a fun activity to enjoy each day of the holiday whatever the weather’s doing outside.
There’s also an indoor games room with pool table, table football, quiz machine, board games and books; a separate impressive activity centre set in another pine lodge with badminton court, table tennis, Jenga and floor games; and a lovely outdoor children’s play area with swing, slide, playhouse and two trampolines.
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
The sauna at the Victorian Barn is a great place for mums and dads to relax in peace.
For easy evening meals, or an afternoon drink in the sunshine, there’s a village pub within walking distance.
Parents who enjoy a spot of fishing will be able to make good use of the three on-site coarse fishing lakes, which are open all year round.
WiFi is provided but pets are not permitted. Cots and high chairs can be hired for a small additional charge. EV charging is available for the use of guests.
