The Elms is set in a quiet, rural location with family friendly walks from the doorstep. It’s close to Exmoor, the Quantocks and Dartmoor, and there are nearby beaches and countryside spots for child friendly day trips. The nearby town of Bampton, just 2 miles away, has shops, pubs and cafes.

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
The Elms is a beautiful characterful Georgian property which blends charming traditional features with modern self-catering comforts.
The house sleeps up to twelve guests (plus two cots) in total, with five bedrooms. The sleeping arrangements are flexible, with three rooms offering zip and link beds enabling the choice of twin beds or a super king. One bedroom is on the ground floor, with its own shower and sink, ideal for guests with limited mobility – making this a great option for those planning a multi-generational holiday with the grandparents.
Elsewhere, there’s a large open plan kitchen and dining room and a separate lounge with wood burning stove and countryside views.
Prices start from £1995/week or £895 for a two-night weekend.
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
The Elms is host to a well-equipped games room in the property’s former cellar, featuring pool table, table football and table tennis; great for all ages, but especially older children (or adults!) on a rainy day.
Outside, in the orchard, you’ll find a secure and scenic space perfect for active outdoor play. There’s loads of room to run about, play frisbee or kick a football around, plus dedicated play equipment including climbing wall and slides. A picnic bench provides the ideal spot for mum and dad to sit and relax while the kids let off steam.
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
The Elms benefits from its own six-person hot tub in a private outdoor space, perfect for relaxing under the stars or enjoying a glass of fizz while the sun sets. The log burner in the lounge (with free logs provided) makes this a cosy and comfortable spot to hang out later in the evening.
Baby and toddler equipment including travel cots and high chairs are available to borrow – and the large enclosed garden makes this a great place for the parents of younger children.
There’s free WiFi available throughout. Pets are not permitted.
