Malston Mill Farm is located in south Devon close to the beaches and historic towns of Kingsbridge, Dartmouth, Salcombe and Totnes. Malston Mill Farm is well situated to explore Dartmoor, and is also well suited for families seeking to explore such attractions as the Eden Project, Paignton Zoo, the National Marine Aquarium and Woodlands Adventure Park.

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
Malston Mill Farm offers six well furnished and high quality cottages in a family friendly complex near the south Devon town of Kingsbridge. The cottages each sleep between two and six guests (plus a cot). A family of four can stay at Malston Mill for around £1455 at the height of the summer season, falling to as little as £415 out of season; these prices are probably not the cheapest you’ll find, but in our view they reflect the high standard of holiday and excellent facilities on offer.
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
The Malston Mill complex has a wide range of family friendly entertainment. There’s a lovely indoor heated pool (open Feb – Oct) and a separate outside pool with a summerhouse and BBQing area nearby. Children will enjoy the games room with table tennis, table football and darts – which also has a fenced-off soft play area for little ones – and a separate Wild West-themed snooker and pool room. There’s an outdoor play area with swings, rope swing, slide, climbing frame and lookout tower, and a tennis court for more family fun; plus new for 2018 is an exciting zip wire. The holiday cottages are set in beautifully landscaped gardens and as such there’s plenty of safe outdoor space for the children to let off steam (though parents will need to be aware of the presence of the fishing lakes), including a tree house. And if you’re looking for an attractive and safe beach for the children to enjoy then it’s only a short drive to picturesque Salcombe on the south Devon coast.
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
Looking more towards the grown-ups, Malston Mill also features a well-equipped exercise/gym room, a sauna and a delightful outdoor hot tub. Adults might also enjoy a spot of coarse fishing at the complex’s own well-stocked one acre lake. Baby and toddler equipment can be pre-arranged in advance, as can a babysitting service. Given Malston Mill’s rural location there are no pubs within walking distance but the nearby vibrant market town of Kingsbridge has a number of cafes, restaurants and pubs. There’s free WiFi available throughout the site, but pets are unfortunately not permitted. And not that we at Parent Friendly Stays are ever open to bribery, but we can’t help but be impressed by the fact that guests at Malston Mill are personally welcomed with champagne and flowers in their cottage on arrival – a lovely touch.
IN SUMMARY…
Given the relatively small size of the Malston Mill complex you’ll be sharing the on-site facilities with a maximum of 21 guests, so you’ll likely find plenty of opportunities to make sole use of the swimming pool or games room. Given that, and the overall high standard of the cottages and facilities available, at Parent Friendly Stays we’d strongly recommend this holiday venue as a perfect location for a family getaway in Devon.
