Family friendly days out within easy reach include Bounce Below (trampolining underground!), Greenwood Forest Park, Pilas Palas Nature World and Zip World (with the longest zip line in Europe!). Of course, those keen to get the walking boots out may also want to attempt one of the challenging walking routes up Snowdon.

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES

Accommodation at Brynteg takes the form of self-catering caravans and lodges. But don’t be fooled into picturing something basic: the accommodatiom here is spacious, modern and well-equipped. Depending on your budget, luxurious additional extras include wooden verandas and hot tubs, while some properties are wheelchair or dog friendly.

For an idea of prices, a family of four staying for a week in the summer holiday peak should expect to spend between £700 and £1000 – which we think is pretty good value. A luxury three bedroom lodge sleeping six with private hot tub and patio doors onto a spacious decking area costs £2160/week at the same time of year.

CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES

Brynteg offers a wide range of child friendly activities to help keep kids occupied whatever the weather (and let’s face it, a spot of rain isn’t uncommon in Snowdonia!).  There’s a fantastic indoor heated pool, a large adventure play area and a soft play area perfect for younger tots.

You’ll also find tennis courts on site, plenty of local walking and cycle routes, and there are even water sports available. Brynteg also boasts its own private lake with scenic woodland walks alongside.

PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES

Brynteg Holiday Park is as well-equipped for parents as it is for their children!  Aside from the fantastic range of activities mentioned above for fun family time, there’s also an organised kids club featuring exciting activities like raft-building, water zorbing and archery.  Perfect for allowing mum and dad the opportunity to hit the gym (if you’re that way inclined!) or – as the Parent Friendly Stays team would probably prefer – to head for a relaxing soak or treatment at the on-site luxury spa with steam room, sauna, hydrotherapy pools and more.  There are also adult friendly activities available nearby including golf and fishing.

There’s more than one option for dining if you don’t fancy cooking for yourself. Try the Old Boathouse restaurant with its wonderful views over the lake, or Brynteg’s Country Club restaurant for a cosy evening meal or drink. The latter is perfect for a romantic evening for two or a family night out, with nightly entertainment on offer.

Brynteg is pet friendly (certain accommodation only) so you can bring your four-legged friend along with you. And all the baby and toddler equipment you’ll need for your holiday can be borrowed.

IN SUMMARY…

We absolutely love the look of Brynteg Holiday Park. Set in beautiful Snowdonia there’s a wealth of child friendly activities on offer suitable for kids of all ages with the kind of luxury parent friendly touches (kids club and spa!) which make for a genuinely relaxing holiday for mum and dad too. We can’t wait to visit.
