TLH Leisure Resort is set in the heart of the English Riviera in the centre of the popular seaside town of Torquay. There are lots of family friendly attractions for a fun day out in the local area including Kents Cavern, Babbacombe Model Village, Torquay Museum, Cockington Court, Pennywell Farm, Bygones Victoria Museum, and Woodlands Family Theme Park.

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
There are four unique hotels to choose from at TLH Leisure Resort: lively Derwent Hotel with its on-site entertainment and cabaret shows; Victora Hotel with its period features, magnificent ballrooms and year-round dance breaks; stylish Carlton Hotel with impressive sea views and direct access to the Aztec Spa; and peaceful Toorak Hotel with superb restaurant and direct access to Torquay seafront.
Whichever hotel suits you best, the resort has a number of offers perfect for visiting families. Children under the age of five stay completely free of charge when sharing with two adults all year round, and at certain times of year there are further discounts available – at the time of writing, this includes children under ten being able to eat, sleep and play for free during the main summer holidays!
Family rooms sleeping up to five people are available, providing practical and affordable holiday options for most family configurations. For an idea of prices, a week-long holiday for a family of four during the summer holiday peak season staying at the TLH Derwent Hotel is currently available for around £1550 on a bed and breakfast basis, or £1720 with dinner included too; that’s roughly £222/night or £246/night, respectively.
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
There’s plenty to entertain children of all ages during a stay at TLH Leisure Resort.
Enjoy a swim in the on-site Aztec 25m indoor pool, or pop to the neighbouring family pool which also benefits from a shallower toddler pool for little ones. Or even better for sunnier days, why not visit the outdoor pools surrounded by spacious sun terraces, palm trees and sun loungers? The neighbouring Aztec Bistro provides a handy source of snacks and drinks whenever needed!
The resort’s indoor games area provides numerous other activities to suit children of all ages, including a four-lane ten pin bowling alley, pool and snooker tables, arcade games and more. There’s also a large indoor soft play area, perfect for allowing energetic young ones to let off steam.
Outside, children will enjoy making the most of facilities including tennis courts and an outdoor play area.
During school holidays, there’s loads of additional child-friendly activities on offer to keep kids occupied including dancing with resident mascot Toby, fancy dress competitions, tea parties, arts and crafts activities, hands-on animal experiences and more. And don’t forget the Toby Club – a supervised children’s club for those aged 3-9 available for free each day. Meanwhile, older kids aged 10-16 are also kept busy at the Squad – a teens’ activity club.
In the evenings, children will doubtless enjoy attending some of the TLH Leisure Resort’s many entertaining shows and events with mum and dad – including singers, comedians, magicians, and cabaret acts.

Like all good parent friendly holidays, TLH Leisure Resort has plenty to keep visiting children occupied – and in our experience, happy children means happy parents!
But there are also a few superb extras to keep mum and dad happy too. How about a visit to the peaceful Aztec Spa, with luxury treatments, spa days and fire and ice experiences available to over 18s only?
The on-site restaurants at the resort, including family friendly Alberts Bar and the relaxed Aztec Bistro, make dinner times a treat. Or for a change of scenery, it’s an easy stroll into Torquay for a wealth of other tempting culinary choices.
