Gitcombe is nestled in an area of outstanding natural beauty between Totnes and Dartmouth. There’s loads to see and do in the area, including beautiful coastline, stunning beaches and the chic waterside towns of Dartmouth and Salcombe, not to mention an abundance of attractions to suit all ages.

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
The properties at Gitcombe House each sleep between two and eight people, and over the summer months you can also rent out Gitcombe House itself, which sleeps 10-12. The cottages are all well equipped and furnished to a high standard, and come with all the necessary equipment (cots, high chairs, bed guards, booster seats) that any visiting family might need. Prices in a four-bed cottage vary from £700-800 per week off season through to £1500-£1700 at the height of the summer holidays.
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
Facilities-wise, there’s no shortage of activities to keep children of all ages occupied. There’s a heated indoor swimming pool, another heated pool outside, an indoor playroom including a soft play area, a toy shed, tennis court, basketball net, boules court, adventure playground and fourteen acres of grounds to explore. With those kind of facilities, we can imagine spending a week at Gitcombe House without ever needing to see the rest of Devon!
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
For parents, aside from the knowledge that your children will never be short of something to do, there’s a family-size sauna and steam rooms, outdoor hot tub and sunbathing terrace. The relatively small size of the complex means you’ll rarely be fighting with other guests for space either! The pool is fully fenced so you know the children can’t get access without your knowledge. And there’s a team of baby sitters and child minders available so you make most of the facilities on site, or to ensure you can enjoy a stroll to the local pub (which is within walking distance).

“We have eight stylish cottages which sleep from 2 up to 13 along with heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools, hot tub, sauna, steam room, championship size tennis court, soft play area and playroom and an outdoor adventure playground.
All our cottages are baby, toddler and child friendly with built in stair gates, travel cots, high chairs, booster seats, baby baths, children’s cutlery, food blenders and other child friendly touches.
With having only eight cottages Gitcombe is the ideal retreat for peace and tranquillity. Many of our guests return year after year, once discovered Gitcombe is a retreat that is rarely forgotten.”
