Accommodation at the Woolacombe Beach Retreats takes the form of self-catering flats and apartments, arranged as a small coastal complex. All properties have two bedrooms and sleep 4-6 guests, with layouts including double, twin and sometimes bunk beds.
There are two main types: simpler flats with one bathroom and larger apartments with an additional shower room, and most include outdoor space such as a patio or balcony. These are proper family bases with fully equipped kitchens, dining space, comfortable lounges, secure outdoor space and room to relax while the kids are asleep.
At the time of writing, a week-long stay for a family of four during the summer holiday peak season costs around £1800 – though prices are cheaper at other times of year, and special offers are also often available.
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
At the Woolacombe Beach Retreats you’re just five minutes from Woolacombe Beach itself, one of the main and most popular sandy beaches in north Devon. Accessible on foot, it’s a perfect family day out with minimum effort or travel required – ideal for rock pooling, surfing lessons, sandcastle competitions and long, safe beach days in the sunshine.
For a change of scenery or another great child friendly option to finish the day, enjoy the retreat’s very own heated outdoor swimming pool – typically open from June to early September.
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
The retreats are conveniently located in the heart of Woolacombe with facilities including the beach, pubs, cafes, shops, restaurants and cinema all less than five minutes away – providing maximum convenience for mums and dads.
Baby and toddler equipment like high chairs and cots are available on request, and WiFi is available. There’s also free parking provided, making unloading for your break a breeze.
While not on site, there are both spa and gym facilities available within walking distance.
Many of the ground-floor units are dog friendly for those looking to bring the family pet along.
