Located near popular Woolacombe on the north Devon coast, Lower Campscott Farm is perfectly located for all the attractions you’ll need for a family friendly summer holiday. The cottages are close to a range of award winning golden sandy beaches accessible within a few minutes’ drive, and the south west coastal path is on your doorstep. From the farm itself you can follow countryside footpaths to Lee Bay and its quaint village, while family friendly destinations within easy reach include the tunnels beaches, aquarium and Watermouth Castle in Ilfracombe; Exmoor Zoo; Lynton Cliff Railway; Combe Martin Wildlife Park; The Big Sheep and The Milky Way.

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
There are eight child friendly cottages and lodges at Lower Campscott Farm. All are spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The largest family friendly property, Pinetree Lodge, sleeps eight – perfect for two families or a trip away with the grandparents – while the smallest, cosy Stable Cottage, sleeps three. In total there’s accommodation for 40 people which can be booked in a variety of combinations; an on-site function room makes Lower Campscott a great place for larger family gatherings or special occasions.
For an idea of prices, a week-long stay during the summer peak in Hydrangea Cottage – sleeping four plus a cot – will currently cost around £1200.
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
Younger visitors to Lower Campscott Farm will find a variety of exciting child-friendly outdoor activities on offer. Being a working 35 acre family farm there’s the opportunity to meet, feed and pet the animals each day – from pigs, pygmy goats and Shetland ponies (who love being taken for a walk) to pedigree Dexter cows and friendly Devon Longwool sheep. Younger children will enjoy giving the resident rabbits and guinea pigs a cuddle, while everyone can also help with the daily egg collecting and take one home for breakfast! Oh, and did we mention there are tractor and trailer rides too?
When it’s time to run around and let off steam, kids will enjoy Lower Campscott’s wild flower meadow, nature reserve and farm trail, along with the farm’s outdoor play area (overlooking the sea!) with swings, climbing frame, slide and so on, plus a hard play area perfect for basketball and riding on trikes. There’s also a well-equipped indoor games room with table tennis, pool, table football and more. DVDs, books and board games are available to borrow too.
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
Lower Campscott Farm is the perfect place for parents to relax. The nearby beaches are easily accessible for traditional seaside days out, while the child friendly farm activities outlined above are perfect for wearing out your little ones whatever the weather. Parents with babies can travel lighter with equipment available to borrow including high chairs, cots, stair gates, changing mats, potties, baby baths and socket covers.
Lower Campscott’s on-site farm shop offers locally sourced produce at maximum convenience for self-catering holidaymakers: you can pick up everything from essential groceries, farm reared meat and charcoal for the BBQ, homemade apple juice, local cakes and treats, and a selection of local ales and ciders through to toiletries and batteries. Always a Parent Friendly Stays family holiday favourite, you’ll also find tasty homemade ready meals cooked in the farmhouse kitchen available to buy, making those occasionally stressful family dinnertimes a distant memory!
Pets are welcome at Lower Campscott Farm and your four-legged friends will have a whale of a time enjoying the sights and smells of the farm and making the most of the fully-fenced farm trail. Some of the properties are dog friendly with enclosed gardens.
