Perched on the hillside above Fowey, the hotel is well placed for family friendly days out by the seaside – rock-pooling, watching the fishing boats go by, visiting the galleries and artisan shops, and popping into the local cafes for a Cornish cream tea. Family friendly activities like sailing, swimming, kayaking and canoeing are on your doorstep, or a short drive will take you to some of Cornwall’s most famous family attractions like the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
Being a family friendly hotel, Fowey Hall has a range of spacious double rooms and family suites on offer. The rooms are modern, contemporary and luxurious, but also perfect for those visiting with children or pets in tow. Accommodation options for families include the family double (sleeping up to three), deluxe double rooms (sleeping up to four), and larger suites and interconnecting rooms sleeping 5 or 6. Some of these benefit from spectacular estuary views.
For an idea of prices, a deluxe double sleeping four – and featuring a mini bar, flat screen TV, coffee machine, iron, robes and slippers – costs around £249/night during the summer peak, but can be found for as little as £139/night off-peak (including at weekends). That’s pretty good value given everything included in your stay – see below!
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
There’s plenty to keep children of all ages entertained at Fowey Hall. There’s a lovely trail around the hotel grounds and a fantastic outdoor play area with zip line, swing and playhouse. The hotel also has its own wonderful indoor heated swimming pool available to children every day between 8am and 8pm and stocked with toys, armbands, floats and noodles. For traditional seaside fun, the hotel is conveniently located with the beach just a quick stroll away, and all the equipment you’ll need – buckets, spades, wellies and fishing nets – can be borrowed.
For slightly older kids, the hotel library has over 700 books available to borrow, while there’s an exciting games room with cinema seats, table football, table tennis and vintage-style arcade games.
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
At Fowey Hall, it’s clear that the importance of parents having their own relaxing downtime has been given some serious thought! Parents with babies or young children benefit from two hours’ free childcare each day of their stay at the Ofsted-registered Four Bears’ Den creche, while there’s also a baby listening service to enable you to monitor your child from anywhere in the main hotel making it easy to enjoy a calm relaxing meal for mum and dad once the kids are in bed. Babysitting can be arranged (often using the hotel’s own nannies) for an additional fee.
All this means that mum and dad have no excuse not to make the most of Fowey Hall’s tempting luxury spa with tranquil treatment rooms and an incredible outdoor hot tub with sea views. Or, pop to the hotel restaurant once the kids are in bed to try out the tasty Cornish cuisine on offer.
Baby equipment is available in your room – including cots and bottle warmers – and you can receive fresh morning and evening milk to your room free of charge! Other equipment you might need for toddlers, including bed guards and potties, can be arranged. Which all means more space in the car and less packing!
For toddlers and older children, parents will enjoy easy mealtimes at the hotel with children’s dishes served all day; including a fun child friendly High Tea at 5pm each day.
WiFi is available thoughout the hotel and pets are welcome in most of the rooms for a small extra charge.
