Famously pretty Cotswold villages including Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold are within easy reach, or why not visit Jeremy Clarkson’s ‘Diddly Squat’ farm shop?

Our review of Moor Farm

Accommodation at Moor Farm takes the form of luxury canvas hideaways sleeping up to six people: cosy, tempting, well-appointed spaces with a fully equipped kitchen, three individual bedrooms (a double, a bunk bed and a cupboard bed) and toilet facilities. Some have en-suite shower facilities, while others come with a private outdoor shower instead.

There are only a small number of hideaways spread across the farm, guaranteeing a peaceful break yet with space for multiple families to attend for larger family gatherings.

For an idea of prices, a long weekend (three night) stay during peak summer holiday season costs £660 for a six person hideaway, or £1286 for seven nights.  Off-peak, however, you can find a three-night weekend break for £490 or a full week for just £730.

Moor Farm is a Feather Down glamping location meaning holidays here are all about enjoying the great outdoors: unique ‘back-to-basics’ family adventures surrounded by nature and beautiful surroundings.  As such, you won’t necessarily find a huge range of organised activities here or a WiFi signal: children are encouraged to roam free (away from their screens!) and soak up the fresh air while playing, exploring the woods, building dens, toasting marshmallows and making the most of the opportunity to taste a simpler way of life.

At Moor Farm, child friendly activities on-site include interactive farm tours conducted by the farmer himself – a great opportunity to learn first-hand about how the farm operates. There is also an indoor heated swimming pool, which can be booked out for private sessions – a great option if the weather turns.

Mums and dads will look forward to easy dinner times at Moor Farm with organised pizza nights on offer, while the on-site honesty shop is a handy place to grab local goodies including home-made cider.  You can even get fresh bread and croissants delivered to your tent each morning!

Pets are permitted at Moor Farm: up to two well-behaved dogs per hideaway.

At Parent Friendly Stays we’ve always enjoyed camping holidays for their back-to-nature approach – it’s impossible not to relax when you’re sat outside your tent watching the sun set! Moor Farm takes this to another level with superb luxury glamping accommodation in beautiful surroundings.

“If you’re looking for traditional rustic comfort, you’ll find peace and sanctuary at the end of the no-through road that leads to Moor Farm in Gloucestershire – described by the Independent as the ideal digital de-tox in 2021.

Your tents are situated by the copse, where you will catch a glimpse of the cattle feeding on the Severn floodplain nearby. Moor Farm is an ideal spot for a family holiday in Gloucestershire.”
