The Railway Cottage and Carriage are perfectly located for exploring this beautiful corner of West Somerset. The steam railway on your doorstep is an obvious popular visitor attraction – check running times before you visit! – while other destinations within easy reach include Dunster Castle, the caves at Cheddar and Wookey Hole, the ever-popular seaside destination of Lyme Regis, and the beautiful family friendly beaches of north Devon.

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
The Railway Cottage is an attractive single storey stone cottage, directly adjacent to the West Somerset Steam Railway. Built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel himself, the period property has stunning views over the railway line and its passing steam locomotives. The cottage sleeps up to six people (plus a baby) in three bedrooms with two benefits, and also benefits from a comfortable living area and a modern, well-equipped shaker-style kitchen. Outside, there’s a large, well-fenced garden with seating and BBQ.
The Railway Carriage, meanwhile, is a purpose-built holiday property also directly next to the line, sleeping four people in two bedrooms. It’s a modern, comfortable, cosy and unique holiday home full of character and charm – perfect for train spotters or indeed anyone who fancies something a bit different for their next family holiday! The carriage also benefits from a large garden with BBQ.
For an idea of prices, a week during the summer holiday peak season staying in four-person Railway Carriage costs around £1790/week, while six-bed Railway Cottage costs around £2300 for a similar length stay. Short breaks are also available.
