Hillcote is located just a short walk from the popular town of Wadebridge with its cinema, parks, playgrounds, leisure centre with pool, tennis courts, football pitches and a wide range of cafes, pubs, restaurants and independent shops. So there’s plenty to keep visiting families happy right on your doorstep! Further afield, tourist destinations like Rock, Polzeath, Port Isaac, Trevone, Padstow, Newquay and Bodmin Moor are all within easy reach, along with popular family friendly beaches like Trevone, Daymer Bay and Trebarwith Strand. Child friendly attractions like Newquay Zoo, Camel Creek Adventure Park, Bodmin and Wenford Railway, and Kidzworld Cornwall are also guaranteed to be a hit.

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
Hillcote is a beautiful Edwardian property which has been thoughtfully renovated and refurbished using sustainably-sourced materials to now provide luxurious, comfortable and well-equipped holiday accommodation. Original features like ornate ceilings, chandeliers, balustrades and antique fixtures can be found throughout, while the magnificent stairwell is a hugely impressive feature as you first enter the property.
The holiday home benefits from a stunning drawing room with comfortable seating for eight, a smart TV, original fireplace and piano for family sing-songs; a separate sitting room with sumptuous sofas and original fireplace; a well-equipped kitchen packed to the brim with quality appliances and equipment; and a spacious dining area seating eight. There are four bedrooms in total: a master superking/twin with its own separate bathroom; two superking/twin bedrooms; and a twin with bunks, equipped with full size single mattresses so perfect for children or adults alike. There’s also a family bathroom with large bath and separate shower area.
Outside, Hillcote benefits from an enclosed garden, overlooked from a tranquil and private decking area – a lovely space to sit and relax during the day while the kids play, or to relax with a drink while the sun sets. The deck area can be fully enclosed using a built-in gate.
Weekly prices range from £830 to £2195 depending on the time of year.
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
The back garden at Hillcote is totally enclosed, making it a safe and secure place for younger children to run, play and explore. There’s also a lovely wooden playhouse and slide for little ones to enjoy, and traditional outdoor games like badminton and boules.
Inside, there are also plenty of beautiful wooden toys, games and books to occupy children of all ages. Three smart TVs within the property means there are plenty of places for visitors of different ages to watch something of their choosing! The safety of younger tots has been carefully thought through, with furniture including rounded edges and all the heaviest furniture items bolted to the walls – additional and very welcome peace of mind for parents.
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
High quality baby and toddler equipment is provided free of charge at Hillcote, including travel cots and mattresses, high chairs, bed rails, a baby bath, toddler step, toddler cutlery and more. Great for travelling mums and dads who want to save valuable space in the car and travel light.
Well behaved dogs are welcome to stay at Hillcote, and lots of useful equipment like a bowl, mat, towel, bed and crate are available – plus a hose for washing down muddy paws after a long walk.
WiFi is provided, and there’s loads of handy storage space in outbuildings for kit visitors might bring with them like bikes, bodyboards and wetsuits.
IN SUMMARY…
As well as its obvious ‘wow factor’ throughout, Hillcote is all about attention to detail; little touches which combine to make it a beautifully welcoming and luxurious holiday home, and perfectly practical for families visiting with younger children. The definition of parent friendly!
