ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
Crylla Valley Cottages is an attractive complex of self-catering cottages in Cornwall. Each cottage sleeps between two and eight people, and a week’s stay at peak time (August) for a family of two adults and two children costs around £800 (though prices obviously vary depending on which property you choose).
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
The cottages are set in eighteen acre grounds, meaning there’s no shortage of space for the kids to let off some steam. The gardens and surrounding woodland are in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty meaning there are attractive wildlife-filled walks right on your doorstep. The complex also features an adventure playground and a toddlers’ area full of toddlers toys, and though it doesn’t have much else on-site by way of entertainment, each stay at Crylla Valley also provides guests with free entrance to a nearby country club. This opens up your options significantly as the club has a swimming pool, spa, gym and ‘fun zone’ for younger children, plus badminton, squash and tennis courts.
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
For the benefit of the parents, cottages at Crylla Valley come well equipped with baby and toddler equipment (full size cots, blankets/duvets, child beds, high chairs, baby baths and stair gates), family pets are welcome and there’s the option of a babysitting service. We also particularly like the fact that there’s a small shop on site where you can buy daily essentials, including sweets and ice cream for the children. Five minutes away from the cottages is the local village pub which, we gather, is now host to a variety of animals including chickens and goats – meaning the pub is likely to be popular with children and adults alike!
IN SUMMARY…
All in all, a well-priced cottage complex with loads of space for the kids to play outside (one of our key features!) and, with the benefit of the nearby country club, plenty of activities to keep the whole family occupied come rain or shine.
