The Moretons Vacation Houses are located on the outskirts of the village of Bredon in the Cotswolds. There’s a post office and shop in the village, and supermarkets and a range of other shops can be found in the nearest town of Tewkesbury. Tennis, golf, horse riding, cycling, windsurfing and walking can all be enjoyed in the local area, and popular tourist destinations like Cheltenham Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon and the Malvern Hills are all a short drive away. Family friendly attractions in the area include Cotswold Farm Park and Sudeley Castle.

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
The Moretons comprises nine cottages in total, with most sleeping between two and six people and one larger property, Farmhouse, sleeping 11 guests. The houses are largely historic buildings such as an eighteenth century dairy and stable which have been sensitively converted; they are now tastefully furnished and well equipped, and many have attractive countryside views. Prices are affordable, particularly given the Cotswolds can be an expensive place for a family break; a week’s stay during the peak school holiday season costs £1615 in four-bed Corner House. A similar length break in 11-bed Moretons Farmhouse costs £4000 at peak time, falling to £2785 in low season. Short breaks are also available.
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
The Moretons benefits from five acres of gardens and orchard set well away from the road, offering plenty of space for children to play in safety. There’s badminton, croquet and table tennis equipment for some outdoor sporting fun, plus a fantastic nine-hole pitch and putt golf course. Young guests will enjoy making use of the complex’s play area with swings, trampoline, slide, climbing frame and basketball nets; and uniquely, there’s also an incredible two-storey fully furnished heated playhouse with play kitchen, bedroom, toys and a secret door. For rainy days, the Moretons has not one but two indoor heated swimming pools, each of which can be booked in advance in hour-long sessions (note that there is an additional charge for each use of the swimming pools, which is a bit unusual in our experience, but does mean you’ll get a guaranteed slot and exclusive use!).
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
Like all our properties on Parent Friendly Stays, the holiday homes at Moretons have a few treats in store for hard-worked mums and dads. The swimming pools are each accompanied by a hot tub, providing the ideal place to relax at the end of a busy day. Cots, stair gates and high chairs available free on request, meaning there’s less for you to try to pack into the car before you set off! Babysitting can be externally arranged if required, meaning you’ll have the perfect opportunity to go and try out one of the three village pubs accessible within walking distance of the cottages – a perfect combination of parent-friendly features! The complex owners can also help you to organise outside catering, beauty treatments and cocktail parties if you really fancy treating yourself. There’s free WiFi throughout the complex, but pets are not permitted.
IN SUMMARY…
The Cotswolds is undoubtedly one of the most picturesque parts of the English countryside, and at Parent Friendly Stays we’d be surprised if there’s a more family-friendly or affordable location from which to base your holiday than The Moretons Vacation Houses.

“The Moretons is ideal for families—our five acres of gardens and orchard are set away from the road and there is plenty of room for children to play in safety without disturbing other guests. We have a play area and a two-storey heated playhouse (Victoria House) with long-term resident, Mr T Bear. Victoria House is fully furnished with play kitchen, gallery bedroom, toys and secret door. Outside, enjoy the swings (including baby swing), trampolines, tree-mounted basketball nets, climbing frame and slide in the play area. There is space to run around in the orchard, and perhaps meet some new friends for a game of football or challenge your family on our seasonal mini golf course.”
