Nestled in the rolling hills of the South Hams, Tuckenhay Mill offers a peaceful setting with easy access to local attractions. The historic town of Totnes is less than three miles away and offers a range of shops, cafes, and restaurants. The nearby town of Dartmouth, located along the River Dart, is renowned for its maritime heritage and offers opportunities for boat trips and visits to Agatha Christie’s former home, Greenway. For family friendly beach trips, look no further than the superb Blue Flag beach at Blackpool Sands, just 20 minutes away.

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
The cottages at Tuckenhay Mill vary in size and layout to accommodate different group sizes. Each cottage is equipped with modern amenities, including fully equipped kitchens, comfortable living areas, and private outdoor spaces.
Sizes include four person cottages like Clock Tower Cottage or 2 Castle Cottage; 6 person 3 Castle Cottage; 7 person 3 Salle Cottage; or 8 person Papermaker’s Cottage or Mill Lodge. There are also larger properties perfect for extended family gatherings – like Tuckenhay Mill House, which sleeps up to 11 people in 5 bedrooms.
For an idea of prices, you can stay in one of the four bed cottages – perfect for two adults and two children – from as little as £489/week. A stay during the summer holiday peak can be yours from just over £2000/week.
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
There are some fantastic facilities for small children at Tuckenhay Mill.
Indoors, there’s a huge play area with slides, puzzles, pool table, table football, snooker and table tennis. And the superb indoor leisure complex has two heated swimming pools, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms and a drench shower.
Outdoors, there’s yet another swimming pool – a lovely 60ft outdoor pool open between May and the end of September – and an all-weather tennis court. Children will also enjoy making use of the play area with swing, climbing frames, slides, Wendy house and football field.
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
Many cottages feature open log fires providing a cosy atmosphere during cooler evenings. Equally, private gardens and patios provide the perfect space for alfresco dining and relaxation. Or for a change of scenery, why not take a trip to one of the nearby village pubs, all within walking distance? You can make up for it with a trip to the on-site gym the following day!
Cots and highchairs can be provided, if needed. And there’s a handy laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryers for a small fee.
Well behaved pets are permitted in most cottages (check before you book). There’s free WiFi available in all cottages, and EV charging is also available.
