The Isles of Glencoe Hotel is located on a peninsula on the shores of Loch Leven at the foot of Glencoe, near Fort William in the Scottish Highlands. There’s plenty to see and do in the area including boat trips, castles to explore, distilleries to enjoy and outdoor pursuits including walking, climbing and watersports. Ten of the west coast’s Hebridean islands are also accessible within a day trip of the hotel including Mull and Iona; and the Isle of Skye is also within easy reach.

Family friendly attractions in the area include the bustling seaside town of Oban with its Sea Life Centre and distillery; the Natural History Museum on Ardnamurchan; Loch Ness and neighbouring Urquhart Castle; and the Jacobite steam train which runs from Fort William to Mallaig and back (more famously known as the Hogwarts Express route featuring the famous Glenfinnan viaduct from the Harry Potter films!).

Standard rooms at the Isles of Glencoe Hotel offer modern, en-suite facilities with fantastic views across to the mountains of Morvern. There are also feature rooms at the hotel with patio doors onto the loughside; these rooms can be configured as twin, double or family combinations sleeping up to two adults and 2-3 children. A stay for a family of four in a feature room during August costs £175/night per room, which includes breakfast and dinner, or £130/night for breakfast only. Special offers and seasonal packages are also often available.


The Isles of Glencoe Hotel has a complimentary indoor swimming pool for guests, open from 7am until 10pm – perfect entertainment for young visitors of all ages whatever the Scottish weather is doing outside! Better still, for those with children who like to get active, there’s a new Action Glen adventure centre on the hotel’s doorstep (visit for more information – link opens in a new window) offering a wide range of exciting outdoor activities including sea kayaking, stand up paddling, mountain biking and archery.

There’s no need to worry about dinnertime plans at the Isles of Glencoe! The hotel’s on-site restaurant offers a delicious menu of quality Scottish fayre and – as you’d expect – has dramatic views over the surrounding scenery; there are lounge, restaurant and conservatory areas to suit your preference. Parents will enjoy making use of the free sauna and hot tub next to the swimming pool and exercise room. There’s free WiFi throughout the site and rooms come with a well-stocked hospitality tray. Pets are welcome at the Isles of Glencoe and some of the bedrooms have French doors leading into the grounds of the hotel for those accompanied by a four-legged friend!
