The Isles of Glencoe Hotel is a modern family friendly hotel set in spectacular scenery next to Loch Leven in the Scottish Highlands. Child friendly activities include the onsite swimming pool and neighbouring outdoor activity centre, while for parents there’s a family restaurant, sauna, hot tub and gym.

glenfinnanThere’s plenty to see and do in the area including boat trips, castles to explore, distilleries to enjoy and outdoor pursuits including walking, climbing and watersports.

Harry Potter fans will doubtless want to take the opportunity to ride the Jacobite steam train which runs from Fort William to Mallaig and back – more famously known as the Hogwarts Express route featuring the famous Glenfinnan viaduct!

The prize

glencoe1We’ve teamed up with the Isles of Glencoe Hotel to offer our #parentpanel members the following fantastic prize:

  • a free two night stay in one of the hotel’s large family rooms (and those with more than two children can have an extra bedroom if needed);
  • your prize can be taken at a mutually convenient time in late June or early July 2015 (subject to availability) or, if unsuitable for you, at a later date to be agreed;
  • breakfast is included along with free access to the resort’s on-site leisure facilities;
  • you’ll also enjoy one free session for four at the neighbouring Action Glen activity centre – either on the water or off!; (see http://glencoe.actionglen.com for more information);
  • and there’ll even be a bottle of wine waiting in your room for Mum and Dad to enjoy.

In total the above package is worth well in excess of £300 and we hope you’re as excited as we are about the generous prize on offer in this #parentpanel round!

Entry rules

This time we’re not just asking you to review the Isles of Glencoe Hotel, though obviously the hotel should feature in your entries. But you’ve also got the option of picking a more general theme for your blogs – either ‘family hotels in Scotland’, ‘family hotels in the Highlands’, ‘activities in Glencoe’ or ‘watersports in Glencoe’.

As always, please make sure your blog entries include links back to the Parent Friendly Stays website along with those of the hotel and the Action Glen Activity Centre.

The competition launches on Wednesday 29 April 2015 and the deadline for blog entries is 5pm on Friday 22 May – so you’ve got plenty of time to get your creative juices flowing! The owners of the Isles of Glencoe Hotel will then choose a winner who we’ll announce before the end of May.

Standard #parentpanel rules apply – see here for a reminder.
